Description:

To supplement the need arising from social mobilization activities, continuous screening and diagnostic evaluation of patients from the communities are being conducted by trained personnel from the local health sector. In support of activities in the field, satellite centers in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao is established.

Housed in a newly renovated facility for behavioral and objective audiological evaluation, Better Hearing Philippines, Inc. shall continue to serve referrals from partner organizations within Metro Manila and nearby provinces. The extensive diagnostic audiology facility of BHPI has also expanded to include hearing aid repair center and a modern ear mold manufacturing facility.

Objectives:

Corollary to the Vision, Mission, and Goal of the National Ear and Hearing Health Care Plan, the Service Delivery Program seeks:

• To promote awareness on the different ear and hearing disorders

• To improve knowledge of individuals on the prevention, management, and habilitation of ear disorder and hearing impairment

• To develop positive attitude through knowledge of basic skills on the prevention, management and habilitation of ear disorders and hearing impairment.
